THE OOZE

This is an informative guide on the sinister fungal entity known as 'The Ooze'. It details how to recognise the Ooze, preventitive measures for keeping The Ooze at bay and what to do if someone you love has become overtaken by the Ooze.

Recognising THE OOZE

The Ooze can be identified by many factors, below is a checklist for you to assess if the Ooze suspect is indeed what it appears to be. The ability to identify and spot a potential Ooze specimen is the first and most important step in assuring your safety from it.

Hopefully you now feel confident that you can identify the Ooze if it lurks in your immedient vicinity. Remember if you even just slightly suspect a liquid to be the Ooze it is recommended to get as far away from it as possible. The Ooze will attack quickly and mercilessly.

How To Combat THE OOZE

The most important tool in your arsenal against the Ooze is FIRE. The Ooze is notoriously vulnerable to heat and flames, this is it's ONLY KNOWN WEAKNESS. It is recommended you carry a lighter on you AT ALL TIMES, a high powered lighter that can produce an intense flame is best, but a small pocket lighter is better than nothing. Even when carrying a flame source on you it is NOT recommended to approach the Ooze, while the flame can deter them it will not kill them unless it is a large enough fire to engulf them.
It is recommended of course to practice fire saftey and try to avoid setting fires in places that could potentially allow the fire to spread. However, the Ooze is ALWAYS more of a threat than a bushfire, Do Not Hesitate to light a fire if you are in danger of being consumed.

Always have an escape plan. The Ooze can move much faster than you would expect, about the speed of a small rodent. It can and will move faster than you if you are not prepared. Practice sprinting to make sure you are always prepared to run fast, you need to be able to outrun it, it has very little stamina and after a minute or so will slow down, you just have to be faster than it until it gets tired. Try not to let yourself get trapped in any places where you cannot escape quickly, do not venture into caves, dense bushland or enclosed spaces without a backup plan.

A common misconception is that the Ooze cannot swim, this is a dangerous myth. THE OOZE CAN SWIM and it can swim FAST, about the same speed as a water snake. Unless you are an olympic swimmer it is a BAD IDEA to try escaping the Ooze by swimming away from it.

What Happens When You Are Consumed By THE OOZE

The Ooze is a type of fast moving fungus, so unfortunately as soon as it has touched your skin it is TOO LATE FOR YOU. Its spores move so quickly through our permible skin that within seconds of it making contact it has already inserted spores into the flesh that will spread further regardless of whether the main mass is removed.

The Ooze then spreads throughout your body extrordinarily quickly, after first contact it will have totally consumed the body within 5 minutes. This is an incredibly painful process, your cells are being brutally pulled apart and absorbed. The victim is usually only conscious for the first minute or so, but it is without doubt the most excruciating minute of their life.

Hopefully this guide has adequately armed you with knowledge against the evil Ooze. We all know that being absorbed is inevitable but weilding the information on this website as your shield I sincerely hope you can survive longer than most. Good luck out there.
